I know, I still haven't got used to blogging on here..... But I have been very busy with lots of exciting events.
One is the Sturminster Newton Indoor Market. We have been going for 4 months now and each month we are introducing new stall holders. In march we had 20 traders attend, and we have 30 for April and 20 for May. Unfortunatly some months we can only have hte one room so we have to reduce the numebr of traders. But it is going well. All the other traders seem happy and are booking to return. That was my biggest worry - what if traders didnt return, but there doesnt seem to be any problem with that as I have a waiting list the length of my arm! We have been trying to come up with a more catchy name for the market, so if you have any suggestions do let us know - you could win yourselves a £30 Hall and Woodhouse voucher.
Also The Exchange at Sturminster Newton have asked me to organise the stall holders for their yearly Beer festival. So I have been choosing 20 select traders for that.
AND.... Stamp N Craft in Yeovil have asked me to help them launch their new range of yarns with a 'Woolly car project'. We are trying to raise money for cancer research by knitting squares which will cover a car! Local businsses are getting involved and sponsoring squares which will give them free advertising and we are going to try do get the local TV station down on the 21st April when we create the car.... We are also working on getting Yeovil football team down to help knit squares (under careful tuition obviously!) and possibly even the firemen. We have had a few squares handed in so far, so if you would like to knit a square that would be fantastic.
I am aiming to knit 40 squares by the 21st April (2 Done so far....) so if you cannot knit it would be brilliant if you could sponsor me throught the just giving page.

a good start to the new year......
I know, I said I was going to update this more often didn't I!
Well it has been a busy start to the year. Organising workshops, stocking up on exciting new yarns, creating new designs.
And as most of you will know I also have been organising a local monthly market at The Exchange in Sturminster Newton. 4th February will be the 3rd one and it is amazing me how quickly it is growing. I have over 45 stall holders on my books and already have 28 booked for february! I got the job of organising the market by accident... I have a problem with saying no! But it has surprised me how much I am enjoying it. It is fantastic meeting new people each month and I feel very honored to be providing a service to the community.
Below are a few websites of traders who will be with us in February.
~ Parkside Produce
~ Sulis Jewellery
~ Sarah's Card Creations
~ Christine's Puddings
~ James's Cheese
~ Shelden Glass
~ Teeny Tiny Soap Co.
~
And plenty more.....
Hope to see you there!

Whoops it's been a long time.....
Whoops I have been so rubbish at keeping you updated on here. It will definatly be my new years resolution.
Its been a busy few months but we have almost finished for christmas. Just doing the last couple of orders.
Yesterday I spent a fantastic few hours with Beth from Stamp n craft helping her plan for the range of knitting yarns that she will be releasing in the new year. Do pop over to her shop on the Lynx west trading estate - bound to get you inspired!
We also put in the diary lots of dates for workshops inthe next few months.
On the first monday of each month - starting February we will be hosting a knitting club at Stamp n craft
On the third monday of each month - starting January - we will be running skills workshops at Stamp n craft where you learn a mini project. In February we will be making knitted lavendar hearts for Valentines day and in March we will be making knitted corsages for Mothering Sunday.
We will also be running a 4 hour Saturday workshop each month. The first one will be in January - Beginners Knitting.
As well as this we will be running a morning Knitting club on Monday in Half term for children and another at Easter!
So lots lined up for the new year.....
AS well as our regular monthly indoor market @ Sturminster Newton Exchange. This is on the first saturday of teh month from 9 - 1.30pm and promises to offer a range unique products from local designers and makers.
And as always we will be running our knitting circle on the Second saturday of the month @ Hazelbury Bryan Village Hall.......
I think that is all that is planned for the moment!
Have a fantastic Christmas!

Our New Blog!
Welcome to our first blog post. The aim is that we will update this on a weekly basis to inform you of events, business ideas and new products.
So..................... tomorrow Millie's Bags will be at Yeovil Street Market 9 - 3. We went last week with Daisy's Vintage Kitchen who make the most delicious cakes and cake pops. It was a successful day and we made friends with a few other market holders who will hopefully be lovely and help us with the gazebo tomorrow!
Also tomorrow will be the launch of our joint venture with Daisy's Vintage Kitchen...... But you will have to wait and see until tomorrow to find out more about this.
On Saturday we will be at Stoke Sub Hamdon Flower Festival. We were here back in May and it was a reasonable event although the weather was appauling therefore there were not the crowds like we were expecting.
This week we have been working on some new designs and patterns for the very exciting arrival of our Alpaca Fleece from Inca Alpaca later on this month. These designs will hopefully be released in October ready for the Christmas shopping period.
So I must go and load up the car ready for tomorrow.
